Donations

Mountain Hope Good Shepherd Clinic is a non-profit organization, dependent on the public for support. We need donations of volunteer time and funding to keep the doors open.

Volunteering

The demand for our services always outstrips our ability to provide them. We do not have the resources to pay a full-time medical and dental staff, and largely depend on local professionals to volunteer their time. Medical staff can donate a few days or hours per week or month. Volunteers treat medically needy patients who have been unable to afford preventive care and who deeply appreciate the care and attention of clinic staff. If you would like to volunteer, please download a volunteer form and return it to our office.

Financial donations

How your financial contribution helps:

  1. The clinic’s goal is to provide health care to those who would otherwise not be able to afford it. We charge on a sliding scale, according to a patient’s income, but we never charge as much as it costs us to treat that patient. Your contribution helps us to close that gap.
  1. Mountain Hope needs public support to supplement medical salaries and to pay for a variety of services, including medical and pediatric care, vision care, behavioral health counseling and dental care. Continuing education for our staff keeps them up to date on the latest trends in health care.
  1. We need to purchase all kinds of medical supplies, including such items as test strips for diabetic patients.
  1. New medical equipment and technology to replace old items allow us to bring high quality health care to our patients.
  1. Sometimes patients require scans or other tests at other medical institutions. Our Patient Emergency Assistance Fund enables us to help those patients afford their needs. With more funding, we could do more.
  1. Donations to the Dr. Alyene Reese Memorial Endowment Fund ensure that Mountain Hope will provide quality health care to Sevier County’s medically uninsured well into the future.

Our services help save lives every day. By donating, you are not only improving the quality of life of someone who needs health care, you may actually be saving a life.
